The Museum of Science & Industry
I had the distinct pleasure of directing both the digital theater and 12 interactive experiences in this exhibit. I worked with writers, storyboard artists, and animators to weave a story that introduced mathematical concepts in nature while speaking in an approachable voice to appeal to a wide audience–from children to adults.
For the interactive experience, I got my hands dirty working as one of the production artists using the perfect tool for Numbers In Nature: Houdini 3D software. I created geometry and patterns using equations for spirals, fibonacci, the golden ratio, fractals and voronoi. I worked with the programming team to create real time 3D game engines to allow museum guests to interactively explore math in an engaging and accessible way.
