150 North Riverside
The 150 North Riverside building sought a content creation and engineering partner for a new media installation in the building’s lobby. I led the team at LVTHN from pitch victory to completion. We produced 12 artful, data-driven concepts, providing 24/7 content that is always fresh and inviting to the tenants of the building. All of the content was generated in real time using custom shaders and 3D procedural workflows for effects, such as refractive glass, particles, fluid simulations, generative photo processing and weather data visualizations. I designed most of the visualization parameters and presets for the real time visualizations. I worked with our engineers to design a pixel map and program a completely bespoke playback system that renders 16K resolution. The content system allows clients to update imagery on the fly with ease, enabling endless versatility over the lifetime of the installation.
