Amon Tobin
I was the creative director and design lead for 3 songs in the groundbreaking projection mapped ISAM Tour, then was brought back to lead a fourth concept for the ISAM 2.0 Tour. In addition to creative direction, my contributions included concepting and modeling the Tobin spaceship, the procedural 3D city design, lighting, rendering, and animations.
For the ISAM 2.0 Tour I lead the physical build of over 20 unique scale model sets that were filmed at RedMoon Theater. I directed a team of six maquette builders who made kinetic sculptures that were puppeted by hand using smoke, fire, air, and liquid effects. This innovative approach merged the physical with the digital in a never-seen-before way— by filming miniature sets and then re-projecting them on a massive stage gave the concert audience a unique experience.
