Growing up sketching and drawing led me to art school where I honed my passion and aimed to make a living. I experimented with mixed media, sculpture, installation, video, and interactive technology, graduating with a BFA degree in New Media from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2002. I am inspired by natural beauty in physical forces, patterns, and mathematical algorithms. My works are often vibrant colors and abstract shapes that evoke a sense of quiet contemplation and of awe. 

Career defining projects include: directing live tour visuals for the groundbreaking 3D projection mapped Amon Tobin world tour; projecting on the massive 2.5 acre Merchandise Mart building at Art on The Mart in downtown Chicago for the Joffrey Ballet’s Nutcracker; bespoke generative content for the iconic 150 N. Riverside lobby installation with an open platform for community arts; data visualizations from the mathematical equations of color volume science at Dolby Laboratories; and the world’s largest real-time rendering cluster with for interactive projections at massive resolutions for multiple projection art house venues internationally.

Professional accomplishments include: participating in Pause Fest as a speaker in 2021; exhibited work at the Chicago Cultural Center for graphic design; awards for interactive design in Communication Arts; D Show Award for special effects; FWA site of the day; SEGD Global Merit Award; and Motionographer winner for interactive installation for location based experiences.

With over 20 years of experience as a media artist professional, I now reside in Chicago and am well-rounded with a unique set of cross-disciplinary skills. My specialty is to create large-scale work with small teams and find engaging solutions for public installations, immersive, and interactive experiences that are fun and attract audiences. I work in nontraditional alternative spaces to engage the broader non-art-going public where they are, allowing them to discover beauty and expression outside of galleries and museums.
